Gravitating Towards a Brighter Future
GravitechX, also known as Team 6619, was created in 2016 by Karen Fletcher, a Livermore High School Green Engineering Academy teacher, and started competing in the 2017 season FRC's game Steamworks.
Besides performing and participating at competitions, we are very passionate cultivating interest in STEM among students and help them gain valuable knowledge and experience relating to programming, business, engineering, and more! Our purpose is to better prepare them to excel in higher education and the workforce.
GravitechX won the Contra Costa Regional at Pittsburg High School alongside 1678 Citrus Circuits, 1323 MadTown Robotics, and 649 MSET Fish., as the alliance's backup bot.
The alliance had won in the end scoring higher than Alliance 2 in both Finals matches.
GravitechX won an offseason event down in Madera, California where they were second pick for Alliance 1, which consists of 1323 MadTown Robotics, 254 The Cheesy Poofs, and the backup bot, 5026 Iron Panthers.
In Finals it was neck and neck matches between Alliance 1 and Alliance 2, but in the final tie-breaker round Alliance 1 won by 267 points to 242 points.
