Who are we?
GravitechX is a student-led FIRST Robotics team located in Livermore, California. Each year, we participate in the International First Robotics Competition (FRC), representing our school, community, and sponsors. Besides performing and participating at competitions, we are very passionate cultivating interest in STEM among students and help them gain valuable knowledge and experience relating to programming, business, engineering, and more! Our purpose is to better prepare them to excel in higher education and the workforce.
Team History
Founded in 2016, GravitechX started to develop rapidly. Our team quickly secured materials, and constructed a robot that could rival teams with budgets and experience four times its size in just six months. GravitechX ventured into the world of competitions in March 2017, earning the Rookie Inspiration Award, and repeated their success in March 2018 by winning the Excellence in Engineering Award.
